PROGRAM:For over two decades, software developers and Iicensing professionals have argued about whether patent protection had any place in an open source development and distribution model. A couple of Silicon Valley IP veterans will address this question at a joint SVIPLA and the Licensing Executives Society-Silicon Valley Chapter dinner program. Mark Radcliffe, Global Chair of DLA Piper’s Open Source Software Practice, will be interviewed by Ron Laurie, Managing Director of Inflexion Point Strategy, with the opportunity for lots of audience interaction.
