Please join SVIPLA for its 2016 presentation of the Inventor of the Year Award to Conor Madigan, Ph.D., Co-Founder, President & Chief Operating Officer of Kateeva, Inc.

Kateeva is a pioneer of a new inkjet printing manufacturing equipment solution that enables making of flexible and large-scale OLEDs.

Conor co-founded Kateeva in 2008. Beyond leading the company’s technology development and commercialization initiatives, Conor has helped grow Kateeva from a team of less than 10 to nearly 100 global employees, while helping to secure several financing rounds to support the growth. Before Kateeva, Conor was a post-doctoral Research Scientist at MIT and has worked on organic electronic device technology for more than a decade. He has authored numerous publications on the topic and holds patents in fields spanning physics, chemistry, electrical engineering, materials science, and software engineering.

In 2015, Conor was named a finalist for the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Northern California. In 2010, he appeared on the prestigious TR35 list. Published annually by MIT Technology Review Magazine, the list names top technology innovators under the age of 35. Conor earned a Bachelor’s degree from Princeton and a Ph.D. from MIT. Both degrees are in Electrical Engineering.

From Carlos Rosario, SVIPLA President: “Given the immense talent in Silicon Valley, selecting a winner was no easy task, Conor is an obvious choice, however. Not just because his inventions helped set the display industry on a game-changing technology transition, or that he’s perpetually contemplating ways to enable new display breakthroughs. But also because he combined technical ingenuity with practical execution. That’s the difficult part. Pretty soon, when consumers can fold their laptops into a wallet-size square, or unfurl their smartphones to form a sturdy notebook, they’ll owe much of that innovation to Kateeva. We admire how Conor has built a strong company to commercialize Kateeva IP, and we’re thrilled to name him “Inventor of the Year”.
